unfortunately, the forest has already been burning due to the effects of climate change that have been catapulted by the united states military. since the year 2001, the military has produced more than 1.2 billion metric tons of greenhouse gases. they are active in the dissolution of this forest, its livelihoood, and of the people globally who call the area home.
we are forced by hegemonic capitalism to be complicit
in this violence. in the pain and suffering. in death.
instead of slowing down fossil fuel emmissions, the U.S. military spends
around $139 billion on weapons of mass destruction.
